Description

Day 1

Upon arrival at Kuching airport, meet and greet by local representative, proceed for Kuching City Tour. The city, which comes from a feline origin, as ‘Kuching’ means cat in Malay. The capital of Sarawak, a cosmopolitan city and this is reflected in the faces on the street. Its features the perfect blend of history, culture and modem development. The tour includes the famous Sarawak Museum, and also the historical buildings like the Chinese Temples, view of The Astana, Fort Magherita, Old State Mosque and The Post Office. Other interest places are China Town, Cat Monument, Main Bazaar. Kuching also offers a wide range of local products for the shopper like Pepper products, Woodcarvings, Pua Kumbu with native design as souvenir. As well as Sarawak Bird’s Nest. After tour, transfer to hotel check in and overnight.

Day 2

After breakfast, proceed for Semenggoh Wildlife Centre which is located 20km away from Kuching. It is a sanctuary for endangered Orang-Utans, Southeast Asia’s only great ape species that are gentle and shy in disposition. The Orang Utans (Men in the Forest) are set free in a 653 hectare forest reserve. Here, young Orang Utans, who were either orphaned or rescued from captivity, are trained to survive in the wild. Upon arrival at the Sanctuary, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the Orang Utans during their feeding time. As well as spot their delicate nests watch their skilful movements at the tree tops and also their interesting behavior. Walk through the trail & look out for Semi Wild Orang Utan in their natural habitat. An amazing experience meets with wild man of Borneo. It gives you the perfect opportunity to see these magnificent creatures up close. Continue journey to visit Sarawak Pottery Factory. You will be fascinated by the delicate and creative work involves by the skilful artists. This is a chance for you to get a typical Sarawak ceramic and native handicraft or 'must buy items' to bring back as a souvenir or gifts for friends, family members or personal collection. Lunch will be arranged at local restaurant. Afternoon will be transfer to Sarawak Cultural Village, Known as Sarawak “Living Museum” and also claim as “Explore Sarawak in Half-Day”. It depicts the heritage of the major racial groups in Sarawak and conveniently portrays the respective lifestyle amidst 14 acres of equatorial vegetation. Here, it is possible to see Sarawak's ethnic diversity at a glance. The handicraft is both bewildering and tempting, including the Kain Songket (Malay cloth with gold inlay), Pua Kumbu (Iban housewives textiles), Melanau Terendak (sunhat), Bidayuh tambok (basket), Iban parang (swords), Orang Ulu wood carving and Chinese ceramic. After the tour, transfer back to hotel and overnight.

After breakfast free until check out time and transfer to airport for your onward journey.
